Gulmarg, known as Gulmarg in Kashmiri, is a town, hill station, popular tourist destination, popular skiing destination and a notified area committee in the Baramulla district in the Indian union territory of Jammu and Kashmir. It is located at a distance of 31 km from Baramulla and 49 km from Srinagar. Gulmarg became a part of the independent princely state of Kashmir and Jammu. Gulmarg lies in a cup-shaped valley in the Pir Panjal range of the Himalayas, at an altitude of 2,650 m (8,694 ft.), 56 km from Srinagar. The soil in Gulmarg comprises glacial deposits, lacustrine deposits and moraines of Pleistocene age covering shales, limestones, sandstones, schists and other varieties of rocks. The natural meadows of Gulmarg, which are covered with snow in winter, allow the growth of wild flowers such as daisies, forget-me-nots and buttercups during spring and summer. The meadows are interspersed by enclosed parks and small lakes, and surrounded by forests of green pine and fir. Skiing and other winter sports in Gulmarg are carried out on the slopes of Apharwat peak at a height of 4,267 m (13,999 ft.). Many points on Apharwat peak and Khilanmarg offer a panoramic view of Nanga parpat and Harmukh mountains.

Situated at Gulmarg Gandola Road, Gulmarg Ski Shop is one of the rental shops in Gulmarg. You may rent snowboards, They have a large section of stylish snowboard boots and skis. Equipment for children ages 3 and up to all adult sizes can be found here. Apart from hiring equipment, they also provide ski training to visitors.
13. Ningle Nallah

Ningle Nallah is a mountain stream flanked by snow-capped mountains and lush green pastures from all four sides. After passing through mountains and valleys, Ningli Nallah unites with River Jhelum. This place is highly recommended for family outings especially if one has their kids along.
14. Gulmarg Golf Course

The Gulmarg Golf Course is also the longest in India. Situated at an altitude of 8700 feet above sea level, this place was used to play golf by Britishers since 1911 and the golf course was inaugurated formally in 2011. The golf course is very beautiful and consists of a meadow with various varieties of beautiful and rare species of flowers. Visitors are allowed to take their cars inside for a ride and enjoy a ride in one of the most beautiful golf courses in the world.
15. Gulmarg Biosphere Reserve
